The Sanyo Gutiérrez padel racket wasn't just designed for him: it was designed with him. For this collection, Sanyo took an active part in developing the Eternal, from the new mould to the choice of materials. The result is a signature racket for players who don't want to choose between power and control, and who are looking for a versatile game that helps them on court.

In this article, we explain how it's built, what technologies it features and what type of player it's ideal for.

What is the STARVIE ETERNAL padel racket like?

Eternal debuts a new hybrid mould that combines the best of several shapes: a large sweet spot and a highly versatile response across every area of the court. It's a racket designed for professional and semi-pro players who need to adapt to every situation in a match.

  • Level: Professional and Semi-Pro
  • Playing style: Versatile
  • Face: 18K Carbon Hybrid
  • Core: M-EVA Balance (medium feel)
  • Extra: includes weights of different grams to adjust the balance

Power Balance: adjust the racket's balance to your style

The big new feature of the Eternal is the Power Balance system, built into the racket's frame. With weights of different grams, you can change the weight distribution and customise the balance:

  • More weight in the head: more power on smashes and bandejas.
  • More weight towards the handle: more control, manoeuvrability and speed at the net.

In other words, one racket that evolves with you, depending on the match, the court or the point in the season. The racket includes all the weights, so you can adjust the balance to your liking from day one.

Eternal padel racket technologies

Developed at STARVIE Labs, the Eternal features a range of technologies designed to give you the best feel on court.

18K Carbon Hybrid face: Intermediate-density carbon that delivers just the right balance between power and comfort. It's fast in attack without punishing your arm on defensive shots.

M-EVA Balance core: Medium-hard foam with a perfect balance between control and power. It offers a medium feel that gives the ball good exit speed without losing precision.

Aero Drive: An air chamber that reduces air resistance and increases swing speed. The result: a more manoeuvrable racket and faster shots.

V-Force Bridge: A structure at the heart of the racket that spreads the impact force, improves stability and reduces vibrations on every shot.

Hexa Cell: A frame with a hexagonal structure that reinforces it against the toughest impacts and adds stability when striking the ball.

Spin Boost Tech: A rough surface that makes it easier to add spin and improves control on slices, bandejas and víboras.

Handle comfort: A-Shock, Z-Shock and Longer Handgrip

  • A-Shock: anti-vibration rubber in the handle that improves comfort and precision.
  • Z-Shock: anti-shock grip that absorbs vibrations and improves hold.
  • Longer Handgrip: a longer handle for a better grip and more power, including on two-handed backhands.
